    The North Durham CAMH service is a community, out-patient specialist Getting More Help CAMHS team, supported by a Getting Help Service which works into schools and with young people experiencing mild/moderate mental health difficulties.     Main Duties and Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be expected to offer mental health assessment, psychiatric opinions, diagnosis and holistic care plans for patients up to the age of 18, referred to them during working hours and when on call. The Trust expects approximately 2 new patient assessments per week with 650 face-to-face contacts per year for a full-time consultant, though exact figures can vary depending upon the type of work undertaken and agreement during job planning.

    Clinical Scope

    Direct patient contact will include new patients to the service, new psychiatric assessments and review appointments.
